Do you agree that the function of effective interactive communication is to accurately convey a particular message?

that is clear and comprehended by the receiver. Communication is used to express emotion, transfer information or provide direction. The function of effective interactive communication can be best seen in the business world. If a company is able to effectively communicate with its workers, the workers will feel empowered, informed and appreciated.

Interactive communication is divided into two forms: verbal and nonverbal. Verbal and nonverbal communication must agree or else it can lead to confusion or misunderstanding. For example, if a boss verbally communicates you're doing a good job and then fires you the next day, there's an obvious breakdown in the communication. Nonverbal communication is gestures, vocal tone and facial expressions.

The effects of effective interactive communication are understanding, education, empowerment and respect. Effective communication provides people with information they need to become educated and enlightened.

When people feel like they are in the know, they feel respected and empowered, and are motivated to perform at their best level of productivity and performance. The role that effective communication plays can have a positive or negative affect. For example, in politics if a politician doesn't explain himself or herself clearly, there can be a lot of room The primary misconception about effective interactive communication is that it is simply saying what a person feels.

Simply expressing ideas, thoughts and emotions does not make communication effective. Effective interactive communication can only be considered effective when the listener accurately understands the message the individual is attempting to communicate. The role of effective communication is commonly seen only as the messages being sent, while it is both the sending and receiving that matter.

The benefits of effective interactive communication are successful business, rich relationships and the ability to accurately and comprehensively express thoughts, feelings and ideas. Effective communication is at the foundation of every successful action. A great example of how the role of effective communication benefits people in interpersonal relationship is marriage. A marriage that possesses effective interactive communication fosters love, trust and respect.

Consumers are seeking out the views of others....

...and looking for two-way conversations before they decide to purchase a product or service. A new AIDA modl is beginning to emerge that takes this two-way conversation into consideration –・Awareness, Interaction, Dialogue and Action." But how can this model be interpreted into the highly regulated pharmaceutical world?

The business of advertising is particularly rife with delusions

We think we know how advertising works. We think we know what will motivate people and what

will not. And yet, every day we unconsciously filter out compelling evidence

that what we think we know is terribly flawed. After months of "research"

and "testing" we create TV spots that have no effect. After hundreds of thousand

of dollars in development we launch websites and online campaigns that no one

ever sees. And yet we continue. We go into new business presentations and

make bold, cocksure statements about our own particular brand of delusional

advertising philosophy. And we never have the guts or self-assurance to tell the

truth -- that all our posturing is just an estimate of likelihoods and a

speculation on probabilities. Part of it is our fault. We are not

willfully deceitful. We just find it very hard to admit that we are devoting so

much of our energy and our soul to something about which we really understand so

little. Part of it is the environment. Our clients want results. They

don't want to hear that they are spending millions of dollars on likelihoods and

probabilities. Advertising is chock full of contingencies and unintended

effects. There are a multitude of critical steps in the development of strategy,

creative concepts, media plans, and spending alternatives. None of which assures

success. Every one of which can foreshadow failure. Something as routine

as the casting of a photo shoot or TV spot can have an enormous effect on the

success or failure of a campaign. And that is just one of a thousand equally

weighty variables. We cannot possibly assess all the variables in a methodical

way. So we fall back on our prejudices and our mathematical models of how

advertising works. In other words, we call forth our delusions. The

workings of the real world are impossibly complex and messy. And in advertising,

as in every other human endeavor, we "prefer to turn a blind eye to reality's

messiness."

Talentless Advertising

The advertising management's silence over the constantly emerging evidence
that advertising does not work speaks far too loudly.
Glaciers are melting more speedily than the ability of advertising to become
accountable. What is surprising is that a global commercial organization such
as advertising can operate like this. Advertising agencies act as if it has
no need to answer to their Clients! Advertising Management has been tested and
found wanting. What all this is showing is that the Senior Management, those at
the top of the Agencies, are not working. There is a communications and
management failure within advertising agencies.
Everyone is saying it (or, to be more accurate, whining about it). The
advertising business is in a state of upheaval. Everyone is blaming it on
technology and the rapid rate of change it is causing. Hello -- it isn't the
technology, folks. The technological change is simply making it easier to
diagnose the real challenge. The one that has been around since the dawn of our
industry but that, thankfully, we've been able to side step.
The decline of moral responsibility has damaged the advertising and marketing
industry, it is the real flaw behind the advertising crisis. There has to be a
complete change of thinking and regulation of the world's marketing industry.
Certainly Clients cannot risk again the degree of unaccountability as have be
practiced up to now. Advertising agencies need to change their behavior, they
need to re-establish relations with their Clients and gain a better
understanding of the communication process...by using Interactive Marketing Communication,
properly executed!

We live in a world of broken advertising and marketing models

. To understand why advertising and marketing leaders cannot easily fix the sputtering advertising and marketing systems , you have to realize that the economic models on which the United States, Europe and China relied are collapsing. The models differ, but the breakdowns are occurring simultaneously and feed on each other. The result is that the advertising and marketing recovery flags, while pessimism and uncertainty mount.

However you can solve most of your marketing and advertising needs by turning to interactive communication, properly executed, then, in one flash you can be highly successful again! Contact: Paul Ashby on (UK) 01934 620047 or paulashby40@yahoo.com

The End of Marketing and Advertising?

The End of Marketing and Advertising?

What about all the marketing, administrative, accounting, and IT jobs that we

think can't be outsourced or automated? Well, retail enterprises now tailor any

number of special offers directly to individual customers by mining data from

reward programs. That doesn't take an expensive ad budget or a huge marketing

department, since it's all automated. Have you ever noticed that most of the

advertising you see while you surf the Web is tailored to things you might be

interested in buying? That's all automated , huge numbers of marketing

professionals are just not needed.

And the only way to make this work effectively? Why Interactive Markating Communication...that's what!

In this recession, marketers have learned that interactive marketing is more effective,

Who said this?
Why the bible itself...Advertising Age!

In this recession, marketers have learned that interactive marketing is more effective, and advertising less effective, per dollar spent. While budgets for online have decreased, they decreased less than other budgets. Six out of ten marketers we surveyed agreed with the statement "we will increase budget for interactive by shifting money away from traditional marketing." Only 7% said "we have no plans to increase our marketing budget."

Unlike the last recession, digital marketing is no longer experimental. Now it looks more like advertising is inefficient, relative to digital. More than half of the marketers we surveyed said that effectiveness of direct mail, TV, magazines, outdoor, newspapers, and radio would stay the same or decrease within three years. In contrast, well over 70% expected the effectiveness of channels like created social media, online video, and mobile marketing to increase.
